Due to it being MY BIRTHDAY Pullins Cyclery will be closing at 3 PM today in order to properly celebrate! Picture is from 6 years ago!
Dear Customers, Pullins Cyclery is completely impacted with repairs! We currently have bikes in for repair from Alameda County (175 miles away!) Sonoma, Yuba, Colusa, Shasta, Lassen, Plumas, Tehama, Glenn and the usual pile from Butte County. We appreciate the support but bear with us as we try to make an impact on the work load!
As promised P G & E has turned off the electricity for our part of town and it will be off until this evening. Due to this Pullins Cyclery is closed today Friday April 30th. Open Saturday 9 AM
This looks like fun! https://wildwestgravelgrinder.weebly.com/the-ride.html
P G and E says they are going to replace a power pole and cut power to Pullins Cyclery on Friday April 30th from 8:30 to 5:30 which is essentially our work day. If this comes to pass there is a chance we won't be here as you cannot transact a lot of commerce these days without electricity. I am sure the utility is going to compensate us for this loss of income so we will probably be floating the river or riding our bikes instead of working! We will let you now as we approach the date!
Pullins Cyclery is open today for our first business day of 2021, we will be here from 9AM until 5:30PM. Thank you for all of your support and love in 2020 and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year! Cheers!
Pullins Cyclery will be closed for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Kwanzaa and we will be back on Monday the 28th...Happy Holidays
A Gary Fisher AL-1 that was severely damaged in 2018's Camp Fire brought back to life for one of our customers! Merry Christmas everyone!

Pullins Cyclery just got in another big shipment of tires and tubes including 26 X 2.125 Cruiser tires both Whitewall and Blackwall! Style out your bike with some new treads!
Pullins Cyclery received a decent supply of tubes from our friends at Bicycle Technologies in Santa Fe NM! We don't have every tube but we do have some that have been in short supply, come on by and maybe we have your size! Cheers!
Have a Happy Halloween!
Happy Birthday wishes to Susan DeMattei! We are proud to have been Susan's first sponsor and we also introduced her to the folks at Diamond Back bicycle who were Susan's sponsors for most of her Pro career. Susan was the first American to win an Olympic Medal for mountain biking at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics! Susan is also an amazing human being! Cheers Susan!
Back in the day Pullins Cyclery also sold Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Several counties on this list are in our area. Wear a helmet, follow the rules, get some lights on your bike and make sure your bicycle is in safe riding condition! Be safe out there friends.
A tiny bit of sidewalk construction going on at 8th and Main but Pullins Cyclery is open despite the noise and dust! Come on down as we will be here until 5:30! 530-342-1055 is the number for current road (and sidewalk) conditions!
We have kittens at the bike store! Still pretty feral but getting friendlier!
IF the forecast for Saturday comes true Pullins Cyclery will close at 3PM! We will do our part to lower the strain on the electrical grid and get our Labor Day weekend going. Pullins will also be closed for Labor Day and will be back at 9AM Tuesday Sept.8th. Stay Cool!
Here is a very practical bike!
We are proud of our employees, past and present! Aurelia is on her way to her Master's degree at University of Hawaii!

We sell Kali Protective helmets, Kali is interested in protecting us in more ways than just quality helmets, today we received a box of surgical masks to protect us from Covid 19...well done Kali Protectives! Thank You!
Jodie and Bruce Dillman have immortalized Pullins Cyclery by adding us to their wonderful display of birdhouses on West Sacramento Ave. Jump on your bicycle and go see this great display!
Caltrans Adopts Action Plan to Increase Walking, Bicycling Statewide $100 Million Funding Commitment for Active Transportation Improvements ... SACRAMENTO Caltrans today is adopting a set of new, high-priority actions to improve access to walking, bicycling and transit options throughout California. Expanding these transportation opportunities reduces dependence on driving, promotes safety and emphasizes social equity by reconnecting communities that have been divided by freeways and high-speed roads. The safety of all Californians, including those who walk and bike must be a priority when we consider future projects, said Caltrans Director Toks Omishakin. This action plan represents a critical step in our effort to build and enhance a transportation system for all users and make our communities more livable and vibrant places. Caltrans developed the updated action plan in consultation with the California Walk/Bike Technical Advisory Committee to increase bicycling, walking and transit trips statewide. A key effort in the action plan is to identify bicycle and pedestrian-focused needs at the community level in each region of the state through Caltrans District Active Transportation Plans. Adding more dedicated bike lanes and walking paths is a crucial safety component in reducing the number of deaths on state roads. The recently approved 2020 State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) represents a significant funding commitment to integrating bicycle and pedestrian improvements into our State Highway System. More than 40% of the nearly 900 SHOPP projects include such investments, with an additional $100 million in funds explicitly allocated to expand bicycle and pedestrian access. The SHOPP is Caltrans’ fix-it-first program to preserve and improve state transportation infrastructure for all users. A critical element of the projects featured in the action plan and SHOPP funding is a robust public engagement process. Caltrans is already communicating with local stakeholders to identify walking and bicycling improvements to 22 current projects, with additional projects determined through community outreach and collaboration. Caltrans is developing tools, training, and guidance for each district to lead its own public engagement activities. The District Active Transportation Plans underway will inform future projects. Caltrans encourages stakeholders and the public to provide input on improving bike lanes and walking paths in their local areas. More information can be found at catplan.org.
