As we all know, we weren’t able to have our usual picture day at the end of last year. That means that the latest photo we have of our students will be two year...s old by the time the 2020-2021 yearbook is published. Luckily, our yearbook publisher has developed a mobile-friendly website that allows students and staff to take a selfie using their computer or mobile device with an operating camera. In order for us to create our traditional portrait pages, we are asking for all 6th-11th graders to log in to the site below using a device with a camera to submit a selfie of themselves for this year’s book. All students need is their TPAA ID number to access the site. The website includes easy to understand instructions for staging, taking, and uploading their selfie. Once we receive the selfie, we will approve or reject the image according to school standards of appropriateness. Below are 2 resources. We are encouraging everyone to participate and have fun with their selfie but also keep in mind that anything submitted must be school-appropriate and will be subject to approval by yearbook advisors and editors. Any selfie submitted with more than one person or any image of inappropriate objects will be rejected and will be reported to administration. The deadline to submit a selfie is December 11th. While it is not mandatory for students to participate, anyone that does not submit a portrait will not be included in this year’s book.

If you have a sibling of a current TPAA student at home and you want to place them in our lottery for next year, you must submit the Sibling Intent to Attend fo...rm along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate before February 17, 2021. Siblings will be sorted first in the lottery and will receive a priority wait list spot for their grade level. Please visit the website below. The LA County Department of Health made an ...application for a waiver available to all LA County Schools. If approved, this waiver application allows all TK-2 students, as well as students with special needs (EL, Special Education), to come into school for instruction in small groups or cohorts. The Academy would like your input in regards to how willing our families are to bring their students on to campus in the hybrid model. Your responses are important to the decision making process.
