Physical Therapy For All 08.07.2021

MC came to us needing rehabilitation for her hand. She had limited use of her left hand after a fracture to her wrist in 2019. The pain increased to a point where she was not able to tolerate it and it was severely impacting her daily life. Our good friends at North County Sports Medicine in Oceanside set her up with one of their hand specialists. As a result of their clinical expertise, MC is now out of pain, able to grip, open bottles and make a fist. These simple, but important tasks, that we all take for granted were nearly impossible for her prior to her rehabilitation at NCSM.

A BIG THANK YOU to the students at the Stockton University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Galloway, New Jersey for their generous donation to PTFORALL. The Stockton University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is dedicated to giving back to the community. They strive to serve others and are passionate about partnering with organizations that support their profession. They have chosen to help PTFORALL by providing a generous check from their DPT Club Fundraiser. We ...would like to thank everyone who was involved in this highly successful fundraising effort. We wish them all the best as they continue their studies and graduate to join the world of Physical Therapy. It is heartwarming and encouraging to see students taking an interest in ensuring low-income individuals and the medically under-served also receive physical therapy services. Pictured are the DPT classes of 2021 and 2022. See more

Beatrice came to us after sustaining a hand injury that required stiches to her wrist. She needed expert hand therapy to regain her mobility and facilitate a return to work as she was in a lot of pain and unable to work. We are grateful to our partner, ProActive Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine in Carlsbad, for providing Beatrice with skilled hand therapy provided by one of their occupational therapists. After six weeks she was able to return to work part-time. And she now informed us that she is ready to go back to work full time and is thrilled with the increased mobility in her hand.

We would like to introduce an amazing non-profit organization helping children get the physical therapy services they need. Please help us to spread the word to find children in need of Physical Therapy services in California and Hawaii. The CA-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides free physical therapy services to children in need. The goal is to reach children who need physical therapy but are not able to obtain it for any reason includi...ng no insurance, inability to afford copays, medical fragility, unfairly being discharged from services, and more. Qualifications: any child, age 0-18, who has a need for physical therapy (gross motor delay, weakness, decreased coordination, poor balance, etc.) would qualify for services, if they are not receiving PT from another provider. For more information see website: https://chea-elks.org/major-project/ See more
