It is almost the one-year mark since the first #COVID19 positive patient was treated in the U.S. Join us here for a Facebook Live event today, Jan. 19 at 2:00pm to honor the lives lost to COVID-19 and the heroic work of all our #Providenceheroes, as will hold a virtual ceremony and candle lighting. This event coincides with the lighting around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. to memorialize all American lives lost. We invite you to participate in this special ceremony with us. You can also join the event here: https://www.facebook.com/providence/posts/1073674273057157 with Providence health system
It doesn’t matter where you get your flu vaccine just that you get one. Find out more at FightFluTogether.org #FightFluTogether
Los Angeles County has not yet expanded #COVID19 vaccination to include people age 65 and older and our Los Angeles hospitals continue to vaccinate high and medium-risk staff only. Learn when and how to receive the #vaccine through the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health here: http://publichealth.lacounty.gov//covidvaccinedistribution/.
Whether you get one every year, or this will be your first, getting a flu vaccination is easy. Visit FightFluTogether.org to find out more. #FightFluTogether

While the new ED is under construction, PSJMC caregivers had the opportunity to visit the construction site and create cement handprints as keepsakes. Thank you Swinerton for this exciting opportunity!
Although we appreciate emergency nurses year round, PSJMC wanted to take a special moment this Emergency Nurses Week and Emergency Nurses Day to recognize our nurses for their #HeartofGold. Throughout an incredibly challenging year, you showed the true spirit of what makes up an emergency nurse. You cared for patients during some of their most difficult times, while coping with this crisis yourself. Thank you for all that you do! #ENWeek ENA (Emergency Nurses Association)
The COVID pandemic continues, but one thing we all can do to ease our minds (and help health care workers) is to protect ourselves during flu season. Get a flu shot. #FightFluTogether
It is important now more than ever to get your seasonal flu vaccine. There is a significant risk of having the flu virus and COVID-19 circulating together this season. Providence Community Health Team is collaborating with local organizations to conduct FREE Flu Clinics in different areas of the San Fernando Valley. The Flu Clinic is for uninsured adults (18- 64 years of age) and by appointment only. For appointments please call (818) 847-3860.
Through their compassion and knowledge, PSJMC's emergency nurses make an enormous difference when every second counts. Thank you for all that you do! #HeroesatSaintJoes

Providence is partnering with Los Angeles County to host mobile, in-person vote centers for the 2020 Presidential General Election, an alternative to mail-in ballots and traditional polling places. Mobile vote centers offer the same services. For voter and staff safety, face coverings will be required and social distancing will be in place. Register to vote or learn more at providence.org/vote.
PSJMC celebrated Food Service Week with our team. Thank you for all you do for the ministry year-round!
PSJMC caregivers paid tribute with a special song to commemorate the past, present and future of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
COVID is on everyone’s mind, so we have to be extra careful this flu season. Protect yourself and others with a flu vaccination. #FightFluTogether
Head over to PSJMC's Starbucks (on Alameda & Buena Vista) to see how you can support Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
