Though tragically inspired, we are experiencing a resurgence in the demand for justice and equality. It has been awe-inspiring and encouraging to see communities worldwide come together to support black lives. We encourage everyone in the Project Wreckless community and in our program to speak up against injustice, to be advocates for change, and to fight for a system that protects all its citizens. We challenge our youth to stand up for what’s right by leading by example. ...We asked our neighbors to share pieces of art, music, any form of inspiration, that embody and encourage progress within our communities. We hope this inspires you to self-reflect and pushes you to be the change that we need to build a stronger, brighter future for all. www.projectwreckless.org #blm #blacklivesmatter #georgefloyd #justiceforgeorgefloyd #protest #love #justice #racism #nojusticenopeace #icantbreathe #protest #black #equality #art #blackexcellence #repost #peace #together #blackpower #peacefulprotest #unity #humanrights #breonnataylor #explore #police #blacklove #endracism #loveislove #resist #activism

61 years ago today Henry Ford II introduced his company’s newest model, the 80 hp, 30 mpg Ford Falcon, in the first nationwide closed-circuit television news conference in the United States. Dubbed "the small car with the big car feel," the Falcon was an overnight success. Originally envisioned as a compact economy car, the Falcon name grew to include everything from sporty convertibles to the Ranchero truck, though all Falcons essentially remained small, fuel-efficient cars.... When the Mustang was introduced in 1964, Ford used the Falcon's unitised chassis, as well as elements of the Falcon drive train, to "re-market" and "re-adapt" the Mustang. The Mustang was an immediate success, leaving the Falcon to exist in the shadow of its more powerful cousin. The Ford Falcon was discontinued in 1971. #automotivehistory #pwhistory #projectwreckless #iAmWreckless #ford #fordfalcon #falcon

While most prefer to go out with a bang, Edsel, Ford’s new mid-priced car line, did things a bit backwards. On this day in 1957, automotive journalists were invited to Dearborn for the press introduction of the new car. What they got was a spectacle unlike any automotive introduction that preceded it. Much to the irk of division head Richard Krafve, a full on stunt show was performed, demonstrating capabilities of the car that most people would never need. What are your thou...ghts on the Edsel? #automotivehistory #carhistory #iAmWreckless #pwhistory #projectwreckless #ford #edsel

Congratulations to all the students who are back to school!!! Can you imagine driving to school in this 1968 Ford Torino GT?! Here’s a glimpse inside the history of this iconic car:... After the successful 390ci Fairlane GT and GTA (and Comet Cyclone), Ford followed up with the introduction of the Torino in 1968. The Torino was initially an upscale version of the Fairlane, with the most popular-selling models being the 4-door sedans and 2-door hardtops. The Torino GT came standard with a 302ci V-8 engine, bucket seats, console, tachometer, and power front-disc brakes. An available 335-horsepower 428ci CobraJet V-8 propelled the Torino into muscle car history. #ford #torino #torinogt #backtosxhool #fordgt #iAmWreckless #toolsforlife #carhistory #autohistory See more
