Full Job Description The Accounting Clerk provides support around accounting operations to supervisors and managers within the Company. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE... - Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable. - Prompt and organized processing of accounts receivable. - Conduct month-end reconciliations and closing processes. - Prepare and mail all recurring and non-recurring customer billing. - Timely completion of all data entry. - Efficient handling and processing of all incoming rental payments. - Effectively manage time to avoid backtracking and delay of tasks. - Maintain effective communication with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and clients. - Proactively work to improve current processes and systems. - Work independently and productively while keeping open communication with others. - Regular attendance and timeliness. - Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified. - Ensure accurate review and reconciliation of collected rents and recovery charges, as well as expenses paid. - Prepare required notices and coordinate legal services when necessary. - Promptly identify and address environmental, health and safety issues. - Establish and maintain industry contacts and relationships through involvement in organizations, associations and networking. - Model behaviors that are consistent with the Company’s values. - Regular attendance and timeliness. - Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified. WHAT YOU'LL BRING | THE PERSON - Minimum of 2 years in related field required. - College degree preferred; High School diploma required. - Must have strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Internet Yardi or MRI experience is a plus. - Must be able to pass a background screening. - Be understanding and flexible in the event of varying work hours due to business needs. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Must be professional, courteous, and service-oriented. - Ability and desire to multitask and prioritize multiple duties and deadlines.
