@WhitworthMD and @DrRakeshPatel provided an update (https://preludedx.com/publications/) on the PREDICT Registry at the American Society of Breast Surgeons meeting last week. The prospective registry is designed to evaluate the impact of DCISionRT on treatment decisions in patients with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) following breast conserving surgery. 1,847 patients have been consented from 65 sites. PreludeDx plans to enroll up to 2,500 patients. DCISionRT is the only risk assessment test for patients with DCIS that predicts radiation therapy benefit. Earlier this month at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, Dr. Chirag Shah, MD, of the Cleveland Clinic, discusses the impact of DCISionRT testing on radiation therapy recommendations for patients with DCIS following #lumpectomy. His study found that despite using traditional clinical and pathological features to identify favorable-risk candidates, radiation recommendations were changed in more than 40% of patients overall when using a Decision Score with DCISionRT.
