Today is the last day of 2020. We are excited it has come to an end and welcome this new year with a smile, an open heart and optimistic mind. All of us at PYPS feel extremely thankful to have made it to this moment. We will look back on this year to remind us of our strength, our resilience and the light that this yoga community brings. Happy Small Business Saturday. What a year it has been, 2020 was off to a strong start! We had some of our busiest classes to date and you could feel the incredible energy of the space right when you walked in the doors. We began Gearing up for a busy season, with a full class schedule, teacher training planned, remodeling, making upgrades and curating exciting events- then March came, and we had to stop it all and close our doors. Hoping it would just be a few short months b...ut unfortunately it has been a hard and long 8 months and still going. There was no way to plan for this and it has been a challenge to stay positive and let go of what was expected to be a great year, so we did what we could and that was put our practice into action. Yoga teaches us to be in the present mind, to let go of the struggle and the negativity and step up to our edge with grace. Moving forward we started offering classes online and when the weather and city finally permitted us to be in person - outside - we were there and YOU were there. PYPS would never have been able to make it without your support and encouragement. From Sunrise park yoga to evening Rooftop under the stars YOU all have showed up, shared with others and continue to support all of us at Power Yoga. With all the hard times and losses we have experienced, YOU give us life by coming to your mat and granting us the opportunity to share what we love with you, - YOGA. This is a true community and what is keeping this small business alive. Being a one woman owned studio owner, I know how hard it is to keep the doors open, it takes so much strength, drive and motivation but most of all it needs YOU, COMMUNITY and your trust and support to make it work! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the texts and emails, the uplifting words and humbly ask that you continue to support the studio and all of our Palm Springs Small business community y buying local & shopping small.
