Poverty Encounter

On August 4, 2020, a massive explosion rocked the port of Beirut, Lebanon. As a result, over 200 people died, 6,500 were injured, and 300,000 became homeless. CHF responded by distributing 1,000 Food Paks and medicine to churches to support 250 children for 4 months. The local church continues to minister to these kids, sharing the love and hope of Jesus with them.

In many countries around the world, it is very difficult to access bibles, Christian books, or theological training. CHF supports pastors with these essential resources so they can more effectively support children and families in poverty in a gospel-centered way.

In South East Asia, indigenous nomadic populations referred to as "sea gypsies" live in wooden boats or stilt homes. Most are stateless and live in extreme poverty. Children in this community in Sabah, Malaysia enjoy playing a game of marbles to the pass time.

What a blessing it is to serve our Lord...His love and mercy never cease!

One of God's characteristics is His steadfast love. It sets Him apart from us! There are infinite reasons why we can always trust and take refuge in Him.
