Each year since 2012 the Quakes have hosted "Portuguese Heritage Night" with amazing support from the Bay Area Portuguese Community. Obviously with the issues of Covid-19 impacting the world, we were unable to host this year’s PHN in person with all our fans, but will still be celebrating the Portuguese Community at our match against the LA Galaxy this Saturday October 3rd! Without being able to host fans in 2020 we, want to still connect with our wonderful Portuguese Communi...ty and Fans by forming the Quakes Portuguese Heritage Group with monthly raffle items to stay connected with the club! October's raffle is a 2020 "Forca Quakes" jersey (pictured below). Samantha joins a long list of talented vocalists who have performed the national anthem at Portuguese Heritage Night and we are honored to have her! Samantha is a second generation Portuguese American who is very involved in the local Portuguese community; playing in the Sociedade Filarmónica Nova Aliança marching band, performing in traditional Carnaval dances and most recently, singing traditional Portuguese Fado.
