Have you ever been consumed by something? No doubt you have. Often, if we are not careful, we can be consumed by something that is destructive in our life. I am consumed with something, but it is not destructive - it is constructive. I am consumed with living the Jesus life. We live far below the life our Lord has provided for us because we fill our lives with so many other things, that a life with Jesus has fallen to a lower level in our priorities and even in our interests.... And then we wonder why we feel so far from God, or like some think, that God has moved away from us. What has happened, is that the other things have so cluttered our lives, that our ability to see and hear the things of God has been obstructed, so that His voice and Word are but faint sounds and sights in our daily view. That’s why this week’s message is so important, it will provide insights and expectations that can get us back and keep us on the pathway to living the Jesus life. If you are not sure of the influence and impact of the other things in your life that are getting in the way of living the Jesus life, just watch and see the number of obstacles that will get in the way of our coming together for worship this Sunday. Remember, you can worship with us at 8:30 AM indoors or online, outdoors at 11:00 AM, or any time after 9:30 AM. I want you to know that I am so thankful that I have the opportunity and the privilege of being your pastor. You have blessed me, and continue to, as you choose to join me each week in worshiping our Lord together in corporate worship. See more

Many of us use the first week of the new year for a time to look back, and then forward for a time of self-examination and to consider fresh new goals for the coming year. As for me, I use the 42nd week of the year for that purpose because it was at 12:40 a.m., this morning, 68 years ago that my mother cried out with great relief when her third son entered into this world. I know I had brought her some discomfort leading to this moment, but from that moment on it was my goal ...to bring her great joy and encouragement, and I believe that on more occasions than not I was able to accomplish that goal. So, this week has been a time for me to look back over the past year and then to look ahead to the year to come, and ready myself to my best to reach my full potential. One of my goals was to be a more effective leader so that I could guide our path in the direction our Lord desires. Little did I know that I would be stretched far beyond my leadership scope. I have been learning new skills and developing an opportunity mindset in the midst of an obstacle culture. I had a goal to improve my golf game, and little did I know that my friends would take that on as their goal as well, and push me to take appropriate time to enjoy the hot and smoky air and hit a little white ball in a direction, that at times was not known at the moment of impact; but I am getting better. I had a goal to be a better communicator as I shared the incredible Gospel message. Little did I know that COVID-19 would put me behind a camera for a majority of our services. Only you can tell me if I accomplished that goal. One of my most important goals has been to be a better husband, father, and grandfather. To live a life that my family would cherish when I make that transition into God’s Presence. By the way, this goal is a constant each and every year. I wasn’t successful on every goal, but I can tell you today that I am pleased, but not satisfied! How about you, do you have a plan to reach your full potential? You can wait to use the first week of the new year or you can begin today. Our outside service continues on Sundays at 8:30am (please wear masks to and from the pods, bring a chair or watch from your vehicle). The service can also be seen on our website at 9:00am, 11:00am and 5:00pm or the church app any time after the 9:00am live stream. Thank you for your faithful stewardship through the continued giving of your tithe and offerings. Be blessed and stay safe be assured that when you pray, we are joining in prayer together. You are loved greatly!
