Great Young Eagles day 3-14-2020

Young Eagle Flights for some Porterville Unified High Schoolers. They got to do Preflight inspections and each got a chance to sit in the front seat and fly then they will land and do a post flight debrief and ask all the questions they want. Such a great day and amazingly generous pilots donating their planes, fuel and time.

YOUNG EAGLE FLIGHTS!! Saturday October 6th at the Porterville Airport. We will start registration at 8 and flights will start at 9. Please bring a toy for Toys For Tots. This is a free event paid for entirely by the pilots that fly the kids. Kids must be between 8-17 years old and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Spread the word!!!

We canceled the Young Eagles Event for this Saturday. It’s supposed to rain and we want the kids to have the best flying experience possible. Hope to see everyone in October. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So for those who have been out to our young eagles flights and you seen the ground crew at work. This is where I learned what I do out on the flight line around the airplanes. In the Airforce I was assigned one of these beautiful planes. I was a crew chief and I loved every moment I was working with my airplane. It was something to be in charge of something so large and so expensive. My authority was so much that if I said she doesn’t fly that she didn’t fly. This airplane cost over 11 million back when they were new and to be In charged of one was an honor.
