Therapeutic Riding and Lessons with Minnie

Hey everyone! Big news! Our family is moving to Moody AFB in southern Georgia in June. I will be working here in California until May 23rd. I have a few bookings left for parties. I will only be taking on 1/2 new groups of weekly students. That will be about 5 or 10 students. One time rides will happen when I have cancelations and some weekends. If you want to get in before we move, please get on the waitlist soon. New weekly schedule will be coming out tomorrow! So those on... the waitlist, please be on the lookout for messages. Monday nights will definitely be an option. Great news is that there is a master’s level psychology student looking to take over the business with her own adorable pony! She is literally where I was 3 years ago. She’s grown up with horses, has a few of her own, and is becoming a school psychologist. I will keep everyone updated on the status of her up and coming business. Great news is we bought this adorable mini-farm for me to operate my business! I will have a bonus room with a 1/2 bath to operate the business. I will also be able to do actual THERAPY again!! Yay! This is a dream come true! Thank you all for your incredible support! You’ve made my dream of being a small business owner come true! Having your families out has been an absolute pleasure! I will always be grateful of the wonderful support you all have shown me!

One last donation before we leave California. My husband dropped it off and took this silly selfie since I was supervising the movers. $175 to Travis AFB Fisher House! Great organization! They house families who have a loved one receiving treatment at David Grant Medical Center.

My husband made it home. Some did not. Today is for them and their families.

Minnie’s last California ride with my little man William! Minnie will soon be commercially shipped to our new home in Valdosta, GA! She will be living on our property! I’ll be posting updates.

Two more goodbyes today at the ranch on base today. These kiddos have been with me since the beginning! They grew from never riding before to riding independently! Way to go girls! They’re planning to continue with lessons once they arrive at their new duty stations.

I feel so honored you all! I had a master’s level psychology student reach out to see if she can get some observation hours! How neat is that?! I was in her shoes a few short years ago! Glad to be able to help out future mental health professionals! Mental health is so important! 2020 definitely taught us that!

Hey everyone! If anyone sees Lysol spray, would you mind picking me up a bottle or two? I’ll pay you back. I haven’t seen any in almost a year. The stuff I’m using to sanitize helmets now was given to me by my favorite tack store. I have maybe 2 weeks left and then I won’t be able to clean helmets anymore. Thank you all for your wonderful support! I started this as a way to bring some joy to the community and maybe pay for some hay for the horses. Starting in February (4 weeks in), I will be working FULL TIME 4 DAYS A WEEK! This is unreal! I only have 2 Tuesday morning slots left! I was so disappointed when I found out I could not practice therapy during my husband’s time at Travis AFB. It’s the only state that would require me to go back to graduate school. Over share time.. I... spent some time sad and resentful. I’m grateful that this job has brought me out of that. I’ve missed working with kids, so thank you all for sharing your precious children! Their smiles are the best part of this job! This job might be better than being a therapist and I’m anxious to see where Britton Family Farm, LLC goes in the future! Minnie attended her first party as a unicorn today! It’s was so magical! Here are some photos mom shared with me! I just can’t get enough. It really shows the gentleness Minnie has for kiddos. I am completely booked through Feb 23rd for parties, so please reserve your date ASAP. It’s a $25 non-refundable deposit and $199 for an hour party. Military discount available!
