Presidio of Monterey’s third Annual Volksmarch event scheduled for Saturday, 15 MAY 2021 has been CANCELLED. New date is TBD. This European-inspired, non-compet...itive community walk is open to all ages. The 2.1 mile route will take walkers through some of Huckleberry Hill Nature Preserve’s beautiful trails and scenic sights. The Volksmarch will start and finish at the Price Fitness Center Athletic Field. Registration starts at 0930 and the walk will begin at 1000. Participants are welcome to start their walk anytime between 1000 1300. NOTE; While enjoying the march please be respectful of others and the environment and maintain a safe distance from others. Watch the weather, dress appropriately and anticipate bringing layers of clothing. The Preserve features hilly rough terrain and steeper inclines so please make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. After you finish your walk, enjoy some grilled bratwursts, pretzels, cold beer and beverages that will be available for purchase at the Price Fitness Center BBQ Pavilion. **Face Mask Required** We are looking forward to seeing you!
