In addition to the impressive backlog of Poets INC feature authors who will be rescheduled from 2020 and all with new books out (Marcelina Senese, Jay Mower, Debbie Hall, Shannon Tate Jonas, Cherie Kephart, Joe Milosch) here comes the first local poetry release of 2021, from Igor Goldkind. Looking forward to the day we are back in person at the Gallery again, hopefully by late summer, with two readings a month!
Today's the final day of the Municipal Gallery's fundraiser, and the chance to have every dollar doubled by the Network For Good foundation .. anything helps, even just $5 and you can donate right here at the link below with your debit card
December is always Summation month. The artwork for the 2020/21 book will be display at the gallery beginning Dec 11th; the juror's choices are at escondidoarts.org/jury-results/ Books from the last four years make perfect gifts, and are available for sale at the gallery, or send a book request to us here at Poets INC, or over at facebook.com/escondidomunicipalgallery
A compilation video consisting of several authors who have recorded themselves reading their work from the 2010/11 anthology.
A 60-page Anthology of Poetry & Art was published in late 2010 to celebrate the annual December Summation exhibit held at the Escondido Municipal Gallery. There were 50 artworks on display, for which 20 San Diego county poets created 42 individual poems. Only a very few of those works are represented here in this 2020 compilation video.
Although not the very first Summation exhibit to be held at the Escondido Municipal Gallery, the Dec 2008 - Jan 2009 Summation show was the first to have the art and poems published in a bound anthology. Herein we present three poets in 2020 recite their work for the three artworks which they chose back in 2008 .. enjoy!

Making plans for a reboot of the reading some day when it's safe to do so .. and it'll be twice a month, to help make up for all the lost time! In the meantime, it's very exciting to see our friend Marcy's first book featured on the Finishing Line Press page
In accordance with county health advisement, Poets INC is on hiatus for our Apr 5th reading .. we'll wait to make any announcement for May 3rd

Qigong At ease, mind expands to infinite space Enlightened beings compose a slow dance Brings radiant energy to heart's embrace... Fully grounded, feet standing on earth's place Quietly collected, glowing elegance At ease, mind expands to infinite space In flowing motion head touches the stars Energy connects earth and heaven's expanse Brings radiant energy to heart's embrace Auras arrive and vanish leaving no trace Conscious calm the healed heart enhanced At ease, mind expands to infinite space Floating in the void of mind's awareness Comes and goes like clouds in clear open sky Brings radiant energy to heart's embrace Moves through space, appears and disappears Mind's intention controls all circumstance At ease, mind expands to infinite space Brings radiant energy to heart's embrace Copyright 2017-2018, Linda Lou Oster All rights reserved.
