Sunday, July 12th, 2020 A Word For Today... Yesterday I was having a conversation with my wife Ban. She was sharing with me her fear and concern as things seem to be moving in the opposite direction as most people would like. ... COVID-19 is once again rapidly threatening the lives of people of all ages. All while the availability of beds in many of our local Hospitals are unable to meet the growing needs. Ban has worked in the physical therapy department of the Hospital for over 20 years, and has seen a lot of things in those years. Yet this unseen virus has been causing her many sleepless nights. Ban recently was listing to a pod cast of an end time profit, and had a lot of questions regarding what was being said. Ban said; I was like freaking out listening to this lady speak! She was speaking to prophecy, giving the nature of the times we are living in today. I could tell it really shook her up. I said; Honey where some people see the second coming as something to fear, others Christians see the second coming as a fulfillment of Gods word. The beginning of our time with Christ, as everything will be reviled unto us, in the presence of Christ almighty and where death will no longer have the power to take that which has been redeemed. We spoke for about an hour, discussing the difference between, Religion and Relationship. Then later that night, we discussed the vast differences between dedicating one’s child unto Christ, and a personal choice (a person of age) choosing for themselves, to be Baptized in Jesus name. (Relationship). Both are extremely important, yet one is a promise unto God, made by a parent/or parents to teach and educate said child about God. While Baptism, In Jesus Name is the act of submitting ourselves unto Christ, His word, and witnesses. Allowing ourselves to be counted and forever know as a follower of Christ. To be buried in Christ Baptized or completly submersed in water. The spiritual washing away of sin, the second part of Gods three part plan for salvation spoken of by Peter, in the book of Acts, chapter 2 starting at verse 38. 1. Repentance in Jesus Name. 2. Water Baptism in Jesus Name. 3. The in-feeling of the Holy Spirit. Know to many as The Plan of Salvation. God Bless... Bro. Tony Myers Life in Focus Ministries [email protected]

A thought for today.... Sunday July 5th, 2020 L.I.F.E. As we are faced with this New Narrative, a (NEW) way of looking at our current day to day, we must learn to embrace each day as it comes. ... There are many different opinions being circulated around today, and everyone feels as if they are right. Masks vs. no masks, honor vs. justice, hope vs. despair and life vs. economics. What will it take for people to see the truth? The truth of God above all. I hope and pray that God can open the eyes of His people in time. A scripture that I have thought about so much as of late, is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (kjv). If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Family and friends with Christ in the center, is the glue that keeps us all together and moving forward. We all need something to live for, a vision, a reason to keep pushing forward when LIFE keeps pulling us down. Proverbs 29:18 (kjv). Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. I’m not perfect by any standard. I make mistakes daily. We all do! That’s one way we know we are human. And as a human faced with some of the same challenges many of you face, I lean on Christ, family and friends to help keep me centered. I pray that everyone had an amazing 4th of July. I thank my family for being together, and for God keeping us all happy, healthy and strong. Below are a couple of the pictures that Anthony took last night. There are just the three here, as not everyone likes having their pictures posted. Respect God Bless, Tony Myers, Life in Focus Ministries [email protected]

Hey Everyone... Happy 4th of July. My hope and prayer is that collectively we can remember why, each year, we celebrate this special Day! ... Respecting our current situation, does not mean that we can’t safely and appropriately share a meal, and celebrate our independence. Loving each other, protecting each other and being kind one to another is what Christ asks of us all. It should be an easy thing, yet we get lost and distracted by the many different things going on around us. Take a moment today and give God thanks, and let’s enjoy the blessings of family. God Bless... Have an awesome day.

Sunday July 21st, 2020 Hello Everyone... Happy Fathers Day from all of us at Life in Focus Ministries ... I wanted to take a minute and share a little regarding last weeks class with our Life Group. I had a good time working and visiting with each one of them and look forward to the next time we meet. Seeing all of their smiling faces and their expectancy awaiting our class, was an awesome thing. Sister Linda was so excited to connect, as well as many others present. I was happy to see Bro. Jhosea in attendance , and to see that he also is doing well. We have had other classes sense some of the restrictions were lifted, but this week was really encouraging. A big Shout Out to Sis. Debra for lifting up and supporting this great group of Gods people. We were missing a couple of people this week. Sis. Jordan Clark was working, and Bro. Mike was not feeling well. Please help Sis. Evelyn, Sis. Toni, our POC ministry team and I pray for our Life Group. Pray that God would continue to keep them all safe, happy and healthy during this difficult and trying time. God Bless you all, Bro. Tony Myers Life In Focus Ministries [email protected] 209-247-3902

Life in Focus Ministries A Word For Today (Part 1) Saturday June 20th, 2020 Unity in Christ: ... Loving Despite Our Differences... It’s easy to get caught up in our many differences. From political to media, to what we eat daily, what sport teams we like Go Steelers. We argue way to much and way to often. With drama mindlessly distorting every interaction online and in the real world, we cant help but to question it all. Hopelessness with an undercurrent of fear and anxiety pushing us to feel displaced and alone. The message need to change. There’s no escaping our many differences. We have arguments breaking out daily as we watch the news or social media, we're voicing our disagreements with people from all walks of life. But what are we collectively or even independently trying to say? What is the real message? Sometimes, it feels like nobody has our back. It's tough to admit, but we tend to blow disagreements out of proportion. We lack the ability to focus in the midst of conflict, to express what is truly at the center. The core of what we feel inside. We are all sinners, and we all bleed red. Sin is part of human nature, and no matter our efforts, we cannot entirely escape it. Thankfully, we have a choice to except the saving grace of Jesus. And in that moment of salvation, we are presented with the truth. The truth that we are in fact, all Brothers and Sisters in Christ? Romans 12:5 ESV So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 1 John 4:20 ESV If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
