At this time, your farmers' market plans to remain OPEN tomorrow for normal hours. This situation is fluid, and our PCFMA staff is closely monitoring the local air quality - we will post right away if there are any changes. The last few weeks have presented unthinkable challenges for many of our farmers, as some have experienced crop loss, fire damages, and evacuation orders, all in the midst of a pandemic. Those who are able work tirelessly to bring you the fresh fruits and... veggies you love every week. Our vendors appreciate your continued support as we all continue to navigate these crazy times together. If you can, stop by this weekend to quickly and safely shop for the freshest local harvests - please remember to wear your mask and wash your produce! We want to extend an enormous thanks to all of the first responders fighting to keep our communities safe For more updates regarding market closures, please visit pcfma.org See more

Have you heard about Market Match? Market Match is a program that allows CalFresh recipients to extend their budgets in the farmers' markets for the purchase of fruits and vegetables by MATCHING up to $10 of their EBT allowance, essentially DOUBLING their benefits. This means more fresh produce on families' tables, and more money being spent locally to help sustain small farms. In 2019, Alameda County received a total of over $45,822 in Market Match at the PCFMA farmers' ma...rkets, extending to more than 750 households. This year, we have already eclipsed these numbers - with more than 592 families already spending over $26,704 in Market Match dollars at their local markets since the start of the year. With millions of Americans still out of work and relying on CalFresh EBT to provide for their households, Market Match will continue to play an essential role in our community members lives. You can learn more and help support this program at https://pcfma.link/Donate See more
