Playland Not at the Beach 07.12.2020

Just when you thought you didn't have to hear Fabulous Frank's bad puns look what I found preserved for posterity - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHero2zeT2c . There is also a second part so you can see the entire show. This is special because it was the last magic show at Playland-not-at-the-beach and because it was recorded by Kathryn Sterbenc, one of our Snowglobia ladies. Enjoy.

Huge thanks to Chris Kuntz (aka The Pinball Pirate) for getting all the PNATB pinball games ready for the auction this Saturday at Michaan's Auctions in Alameda. (NOTE: Preview days are Thur and Fri noon -5:00 at Playland Not at the Beach, the actual auction on Saturday has been moved to the Michaan's Gallery in Alameda and will start at noon. Change of venue because of a HUGE number of people likely to attend.)

Designed and built entirely by volunteers, the 20+ interactive exhibits celebrate the magic and history of America's bygone amusements -- circuses, carnivals, magic, side shows, penny arcades, amusement devices, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere. August 18 & 19: American Folk Heroes Weekend at Playland-Not-at-the-Beach Celebrate the rich tradition of American folklore through its larger-than-life heroes. Look for Paul Bunion and his big blue ox, Babe, Davy Crockett, John Henry and others in our special folk hero treasure hunt! The special events of American folk Heroes Weekend are in addition to all of Playland's regular attractions. Guests pay one low price to enter and can play all day: $10 for children and seniors..., and $15 for general admission. Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is a nonprofit Museum of Fun. Designed and built entirely by volunteers, the 20+ interactive exhibits celebrate the magic and history of America's bygone amusements -- circuses, carnivals, magic, side shows, penny arcades, amusement devices, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere.
