Celosia burning bright! Fun fact: these are edible! They’re mainly used as ornamental flowers adding the bright pops of color. They’re certainly lighting up the nursery right now.
We are an extremely fast paced retail garden center in search of cashiers. This individual should be highly motivated, be a self-starter, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to multi-task. The duties include keeping register area clean and organized, assisting customers with the whole process of checking out, accurately handling money, answering the phone, following up on special orders, and greeting all guests. The ideal candidate must have open availability,... be able to lift 20 pounds, and be comfortable working on their feet all day in an outdoor setting. We are a family owned and operated business. We treat all of our employees as part of the family. We offer many benefits including health insurance and 401k. Compensation is based upon experience.
Did you know??? Squash have male and female flowers! This photo is a male and swipe to see the female with her fruit. We’re hand-pollinating them in stories today!! While you won’t have any flowers typically at the nursery, once planted they’ll start to grow and develop (of course) to produce your veggie. ... Hand-pollinating is a great way to ensure an early crop gets established, and can prevent blossom-end rot which can happen with squash. Let us know if you have any questions!
On the the north east side of the nursery (the far right side if you’re facing the entrance) we have all the rows of shrubs and bigger landscaping plants. Here we also have the end caps which are these beautiful displays at the end of the rows of plants. Constantly changing, always beautiful. One of my favorite features of our garden center. ... More in stories!
