Looking forward to seeing all of our guests this weekend! I'm sure most of you are excited about the 2020 opening of Apple Hill! As many of you are aware, we chose the path of higher pricing but voluntarily lowering our occupancy during the Covid-19 pandemic. This way all guests can have a fair share of participation in our available activities as safely as possible! For the most part, our rv sites and tent sites are sold out. BUT, we've had some cabin cancelations. At the t...ime of this posting, we have three small cabins available with a 3 night minimum for the big weekend. One of which has air conditioning! 530-676-2267 or reserve via KOA.com Hurry, they won't last long...

If you have a home in a local area affected by wildfires, we are taking on many evacuees and have a 20% discount setup. We have some rv spaces available as well as electric tent sites and cabins. Give us a call. Stay safe and healthy!

It's the best time of the year again! Apple Hill is opening!!! Please be respectful of our county by reading and following all guidelines. We are doing our part including voluntarily limiting occupancy in our campground so reserve early (yes, expect higher than normal prices to absorb this). We are finding that tent trailers or very small motorhomes have been easy to accommodate but larger rigs, cabins, and tents are selling out very fast. This is due to our own pandemic framework. We look forward to seeing you!

The Chamber of Commerce came by and gave us this cool sign! Yes, we’re open! Currently only accepting fully self contained RV’s. No tents, no cabins, no showers, no groups, and no visitors. The fun train is offered by reservation to one campsite at a time then sanitized before the next ride. Swimming pool by reservation with 15 people max allowed in the entire pool area. Mini golf and fishing open. Social distancing in full effect and we educate everyone regarding the mandato...ry face covering rules in California. We are temporarily operating with reservations required and call each guest before their arrival to ensure they haven’t been directly exposed to or have ANY symptoms of Covid-19. We have taken a very cautious approach to re-opening to keep our county as safe as possible and help do our part to ensure businesses stay open! We have had the absolute best and understanding guests. We’re having a great time! #placervillekoa #koa #kampgroundsofamerica #letsgokamping #koacamping #greatoutdoors #familytime #familyfun #camping #glamping #rvlife #rv #getoutandcamp #adventure #adventuretime #visiteldorado #eldoradocounty #backinbusinesseldorado See more

Here is a preview of site #60. Over the next couple years we plan to convert the majority of this back row to luxurious deck sites. They all have beautiful valley views and amazing sunsets. The idea of utilizing decks and their unique shapes are designed with very specific intention and a high regard for attention to detail. The sites will be landscaped and have very nice high end furniture. This site is designed for small motorhomes but as we convert more sites they will be ...more flexible in regards to the types of rigs that they can accommodate. As soon as we’re finished you will be able to reserve this site specifically so be ready... guests see us working on it and there is a HUGE amount of interest already. #placervillekoa #koa #kampgroundsofamerica #letsgokamping #koacamping #greatoutdoors #familytime #familyfun #camping #glamping #rvlife #rv #getoutandcamp #tentcamping #adventure #adventuretime See more

To our loyal guests, Our campground alongside most of the travel industry needs your help during these difficult times of COVID-19. I encourage you strongly not cancel existing reservations during March/April and instead MOVE them to a new date in mid-summer. With much of the country on stay-at-home orders, I'm sure that when the restrictions are lifted that everybody is going to need a nice family camping trip filled with fresh air and fun in the great outdoors! If you do ha...ve plans to go camping this summer then please, call us today or as soon as possible and reserve your spot. This will help support our campground and the industry as a whole.By reserving early it will also ensure that you get the better of the spots available when the vacation floodgates open after restrictions are lifted. #dontcancelmodify #savetourism #koacamping

The Placerville KOA is currently open pending the reason of your required travel. Please call ahead if possible so we can be sure that your need for a space lines up with County/State/Federal guidelines imposed at the current time due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. At this time we are only allowing fully self contained camping rigs. We have hookups available but you must be able to use your own bathroom/shower inside the rig. All cabins and tent sites have been closed until furthe...r notice pending the governors guidelines. We hope they will be available in April but we'll see. Our bathrooms and showers are closed as are all recreational amenities. We strongly recommend reservations but walkins are still being accepted (though will be turned away if not proved essential). When you arrive you'll see a sign in front of our office with instruction. Please STAY IN YOUR CAR and call 530-676-2267 to register curbside with or without a reservation. If the office is closed then please use night registration. Please bring a credit card. Cash is still accepted if absolutely necessary but credit cards are preferred. We are currently fully staffed still. Our store is available for phone or email purchases with picnic table delivery but is otherwise closed. While at our park PLEASE follow the 6 ft social distancing rule at a minimum if passing by other guests or interacting with staff. This includes checkin, propane sales, etc. During this shelter-in-place order we ask that you do not have visitors. WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ALLOWED TO ACCEPT VACATIONERS LOCAL OR OTHERWISE TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR A COUPLE DAYS. Our park has many guests who are considered high risk. If you are sick with ANY symptoms then we advise you to stay in place wherever you are as to not spread the virus to our park or anywhere else. If you fall ill during your stay at our park then please stay on self-isolation inside your camper until you depart and do not venture around the park. Thank you so much for your business and understanding. We will all get thru these difficult times together :)
