Hernan L. Lacuesta devotes his practice to insurance defense litigation, defending against a wide variety of complex negligence, premises liability, and toxic tort claims. Hai Phan is a Litigation Associate at P.K. Schrieffer LLP. He received his law degree from Chapman University School of Law in Orange and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Los Angeles. Angela J. Dailey, Esq. has been an attorney since 2011, and is admitted to practice before all California Courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She has experience in civil litigation, and is a passionate advocate for her clients. Ms. Dailey earned her undergraduate degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO with a major in English and minors in Political Science and Spanish. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Unive...rsity of La Verne College of Law in Ontario, California, while she concurrently earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of La Verne College of Business and Public Administration in La Verne, California. While in law school, she earned the CALI award for Appellate Advocacy, was selected to participate in moot court honors, and was selected to participate in the Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. Additionally, while in law school, Ms. Dailey participated in a family law practicum, which included providing pro bono legal advice at the self-help center in Pomona, CA. After law school, Ms. Dailey has judged the moot court competition at her alma mater and volunteered at Law Day in Costa Mesa, CA. Michael T. McGee is an insurance coverage and litigation associate at P.K. Shrieffer LLP. He is a year 2000 graduate of Loyola Law School, in Los Angeles. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University of Long Beach. Mr. McGee has practiced in the area of business and civil litigation, and has experience in a wide variety of litigation matters. Mr. McGee enjoys spending time with his family, tennis, skiing, and riding motorcycles.

Stephen received his B.A. in Mathematics from Concordia University, Irvine. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was an editor of the Journal of Law & Inequality. In 2012, Stephen obtained his LL.M. in International Trade and Business Law from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. While pursuing his law degrees, Stephen externed for U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert H. Walker and U.S. District Court Judge David C. Bury. Prior to jo...ining P.K. Schrieffer LLP, Stephen represented private clients in the areas of business, intellectual property, and real estate law as well as civil litigation for several years. Ms. Lee is Senior Litigation Counsel with substantial experience in defense of agent/broker malpractice and insurance coverage/bad faith liability of carriers involving multi-million dollar exposures. Her experience includes work on a wide range of insurance policies and coverage litigation issues involving commercial general liability, reinsurance coverage, excess coverage liability, errors and omissions, directors/officers, manuscript type policies, and up and coming cover...age trends relating to cyber liability and data breach losses. Ms. Lee has defended corporations, individuals, general contractors, developers/subcontractors, surplus lines carriers, agents/brokers, and accountants through various forms of alternative dispute resolution including arbitrations. She also finds her expertise in appellate work with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and various California Appellate District Courts from briefing to oral arguments. Her extensive litigation background and appellate work takes a lawsuit from the cradle to the grave. Ms. Lee received her Juris Doctor from Whittier College School of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles. While in law school, Ms. Lee was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and participated in the Rendig’s Products Liability Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also externed with two Federal District Court Judges, the Honorable Consuelo Marshall and Marianna Pfaelzer, who both certified Ms. Lee as a student law clerk before the Federal District Court. As an undergraduate, Ms. Lee was active in the national accounting fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi and was a member of the National Golden Key Honor Society. Ms. Lee is a member of the State Bar of California, State Bar of Nevada, the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the Federal District Court, Central District. She is also a California Certified Public Accountant.

Jim concentrates his practice in the area of insurance coverage, and provides advice to London Market insurers for claims involving CGL, D&O, E&O, and manuscript policies. Jim has considerable experience providing advice for cyber liability and technology claims. He has been named a Southern California Rising Star by Los Angeles Magazine for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Southern California Rising Stars are lawyers under the age of 40 who have been in practice for ...10 years or less and are chosen as a result of a survey completed by California Super Lawyers. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in California are named to the Rising Stars list. On November 1, 2004, Jim delivered oral argument in the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Respondent taxpayer in Commissioner of Internal Revenue v. Banks, Case No. 03-892. The decision is reported at 543 U.S. 426, 125 S. Ct. 826, 160 L. Ed. 2d 859 (2005). The case involved the federal tax treatment, to an employment discrimination and civil rights discrimination plaintiff, of the attorney contingent fee portion of a recovery. Although the government prevailed in the Supreme Court, the President, a week before oral argument, signed into law changes in the Internal Revenue Code granting relief to taxpayers on this issue. Jim earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago (2001), where he graduated second in a class of 207 students. He also earned an M.B.A in Finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management (1998), and a B.A. from Marquette University (1993). While in law school, Jim served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Charles R. Norgle, Sr., of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Before moving to Southern California, Jim practiced with Mayer Brown in Chicago, in its tax controversy group. Jim also practiced with Cotkin & Collins in Los Angeles, where his practice focused on insurance coverage (primarily on behalf of policyholders), reinsurance, professional liability, and appellate. Jim is a member of the State Bars of California and Illinois, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
