(PKL) and Flex Air, two San Diego-based aerospace companies, recently submitted a joint proposal seeking FAA grant funding to provide innovative solutions to offset projected pilot shortages and a lack of readily accessible pilot training within the aviation industry. PKL Services, Inc. has recently received notice of award for performance as a subcontractor to 4M HR Logistics, LLC. PKL will support the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) C-2A Operational Level Maintenance for the VRC-30 Squadron at Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, San Diego, CA. The transition commenced on March 1, 2021 and the base period will begin on April 1, 2021 with option periods through 2024. PKL recently received notice of award for performance as a subcontractor to 4M HR Logistics to support the Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific (CNAP) F/A-18 Flight Line and O Level Maintenance for the VX-9 Squadron at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake, Ridgecrest, CA. The Task Order was awarded to 4M HR Logistics on 12/30/2020 with a transition period that commenced 1/1/2021. PKL will employ Aircraft Mechanics, Flight Equipment Technicians, Aircraft Logs and Record...s Technicians, Aircraft Workers, Supply Techs, and a site supervisor. PKL recently produced an innovative pre-flight inspection simulation, called The Pre-Flight Challenge, for regional flight training school, Flex Air. Working with our partners, ST Engineering and Flex Air, PKL created a virtual aerodrome experience with life-like renderings of a Cessna 172, parking apron, taxiways, and hangars--to immerse users in an authentic airfield environment. PKL was recently awarded a new commercial training contract supporting the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) in Bangkok, Thailand. The contract award helps RTAF create a modern maintenance training center outfitted with full virtual training capability and a customized Basics of Aircraft Maintenance Course (BAMC). PKL is teamed with Raydant International Company, LTD, our Thai partner, and Singapore Technologies Engineering Electronics, our simulation provider, to deliver this cont...ract. PKL Services, Inc. is honored to announce our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Patrick Paddy Gough. Paddy has served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PKL Services, Inc. for the last four years, after joining PKL as the VP of Human Resources in 2014. Paddy is a retired USMC Colonel with 30 years of distinguished service in the Marine Corps. From his vast leadership experience as a Marine, six years as an Executive Director at Orange County Transportation Authority, ...and his time with PKL, we are excited about the direction he will bring to PKL. Paddy’s transition to this role signals the departure of Terry Robling as CEO. Terry served as the CEO of PKL for 5 years and has overseen the tremendous growth we have experienced during that time. Terry will remain as a Member of the PKL Board of Directors and we are grateful for his contributions to PKL.
