I love that mini-escapes to beauty like this are a short car ride away from the Bay... * * * Grounding down with mama nature is always a good idea, especially if it means aligning your energy with the seasons. We managed to sneak away for a quick anniversary/munchkin-free getaway. To be honest, I didn’t think Tahoe at this time of the year would be as enjoyable without board-able snow or swim-able/paddle-able lake water, but I was so wrong. Taking in the warm sun and crisp fr...esh air while admiring the transitioning landscape rocking the Fall colors (my fave) was exactly what we needed. There’s something so grounding about watching nature preparing to go inward. Our 24-hour getaway gave us some much needed introspection time, and, whether we realized it or not, gave us time to evaluate what things in our lives needed letting go of in order to make room for new experiences.
