For 4 to 5 years he was the ever loyal side kick to his owner Steven, who would be ...seen in and around Slatten Ranch / Target, with his faithful dog by his side. This is Chewy. Sadly Steve passed away at the beginning of July and Chewy fell into the inconsistent care of some local transients who weren't keeping close watch on him. He got into some trouble while loose and although the behavior was not observed there is concern over how Chewy would interact with smaller dogs. Chewy is so well behaved, so smart, so people friendly and as you can imagine, great on leash, he has great manners - a testament to his late owner's love and care. Chewy is available to a qualified 501c3 Rescue Organization. He is neutered, microchipped and fully up to date on his vaccinations. He has such rugged good looks, a gorgeous smile an...d he's always striking a pose in a pretty "sit" or "Hey, hey, hey, rub my belly as I chew my ball" kinda way. To think this boy was called in as an "aggressive dog" is laughable when you get to know him. Understandably 85lbs of unknown dog coming towards you might make you jump or scream, but this boy just wants attention. He's dog friendly and seems more drawn to little ones than big. He doesn't do cats (hard nope). Junior is up there in doggy years. He's 8 and with 8 years of a what we suspect was a backyard life he has some signs of "wear and tear", but as far as get up and go, he's still revving to play, please, pounce and bounce all over. He is a big teddy bear that will warm your heart and keep more than your tosies toasty on cold nights. This boy is available for adoption. He has some suspect masses that will be removed when he is neutered. Please bear this in mind, but also understand he is a senior dog and love and comfort in his twilight years will mean so much to him.
