Tuolumne County Data (as of 1-18-21)*: Total Tested: 23,349 Total Positive: 3,359 (2,150community, 1,209 SCC inmates ) In Isolation: 131 Hospitalized: 4 Recovered: 1,976 Total Deaths: 39 *Tuolumne County testing numbers include data reported through the state infectious disease reporting system. All positive cases of Tuolumne County residents must be reported to Public Health. One of the new cases is hospitalized and the remaining individuals appear to be isolating. Twenty-one individuals have been released from isolation. We are sad to report an additional death of a male in his 70’s. Our condolences to his family and friends. Public Health continues to distribute vaccine within Phase 1A of the State Vaccine Distribution Plan and we are beginning to move into Phase 1B. We are working with our healthcare partners to coordinate the continued administration of vaccine according to; State guidelines, the availability of vaccine that Public Health and healthcare providers have on hand, and resources to administer. We ask the public to please continue following our website and local media for updates. As we continue our planning and await further guidance and delivery of vaccine, proceeding through the phased distribution, we will update our website and inform the public of how, where, and when they can get expect to get vaccinated. We were notified on Sunday that a higher than usual number of adverse events were reported with a specific lot of Moderna vaccine which was administered at a vaccination clinic outside of Tuolumne County. Out of an extreme abundance of caution, providers are recommended to pause the use of this lot of Moderna vaccine while the CDC and FDA review the situation. Tuolumne County Public Health has received some of this lot number and it has been put aside and will not be used at this time. COVID-19 testing is available now both at the Mother Fairgrounds testing site, which is open 7 days a week, and the traveling testing site which will be open at the Groveland Community Hall on Mondays and Tuolumne Memorial Hall on Thursdays from 7 AM to 7 PM. Please note that the Tuolumne site will NOT be open this Thursday, January 21st due to a scheduling conflict. Walk-ins will be accepted the travel sites, but appointments are recommended and are available a week ahead of time and can be made at the same LHI website as the fairgrounds site. SAFETY INFORMATION It is very important for the public to remain vigilant about following recommended safety measures and business/activity guidelines in order to keep themselves and those around them safe and healthy, as well as help Tuolumne County avoid moving backward in the State Blueprint tiered system. Those measures include: Wearing a Face Covering appropriately; Cover your mouth and nose any time you are in public or around those who aren’t in your household bubble. Washing Your Hands; Wash for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or wash thoroughly with hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available. Physical Distancing; Maintain at least 6 feet between you and others who aren’t part of your household bubble. Eight individuals have been released from isolation. We are sad to report two additional deaths of a male in his 70s that was hospitalized and a female in her 80s who was a resident of a local care facility and is one of today’s reported cases (investigation is ongoing). PML GOLF COURSE HOLIDAY EXPRESS EVENT CANCELED - CONTEST STILL A GO! Message from Board President Steve Griefer: "Given the current COVID-19 restrictions and on-going increase in the case rate in Tuolumne County, the Association is cancelling the Holiday Express event. Fortunately, our staff can still hold the Golf Course home Christmas Decorating contest online. The contest is a big feature of the event, and we did not want our members to lose out as these folks put a lot of work into decorating their homes to make it fun for others. We look forward to the end of the pandemic and wish everyone a safe holiday."

LATEST UPDATES FROM TUOLUMNE COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH We, along with the other counties in the San Joaquin Valley Region are currently under the Regional Stay-at-Ho...me Order. Our Blueprint Tier metrics still meet the Purple Tier criteria, but the stay-at-home order takes precedence at this time. Tuolumne County is reporting 61 new COVID-19 cases today, all of whom appear to be isolating at home. Seventeen individuals have been released from isolation, including one previously hospitalized individual. The individual whose death was reported yesterday was a male in his 60’s who had been hospitalized. The Public Health team sends it’s condolences to his family and friends. Today’s new cases include: Under 20: Males - 7 Females - 8 20s: Males 2 Females - 4 30s: Males 3 Females - 4 40s: Males 1 Females - 6 50s: Males 2 Females - 4 60s: Males 5 Females 7 70s: Males 1 Females - 1 80s: Males 3 Females - 2 90s: Males 1 Females 0 Tuolumne County’s case rate has been updated to 36.3 per 1,000 population and it’s test positivity rate is reported as 12.6%. We remain in the red tier. Tuolumne County and the San Joaquin Valley Region continue to meet the criteria (less than 15% of ICU beds available) to activate the Regional Stay at Home Order. The new Regional Order is a protective measure to limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect the community and hospital frontline workers. According to the latest update, the San Joaquin Valley Region currently has 5.6% of ICU beds available. Please stay home, wear a mask, wash your hands, limit your exposure, and get tested! The actions we take today will slow the spread and help keep our communities safe.
