The lineup for our pop-up pairing event at the tasting room on Saturday, May 22nd. Half of it, at least, since these will be poured alongside an impressive menu (see below) of innovative tapas courtesy of culinary globetrotter Chef Penelope. A limited capacity outdoor event, there will be various seatings from 12:00 - 6:00 pm, and reservations are required. Tickets are $85 per person / $75 for wine club, and we’ll be offering a number of one-day-only discounts and specials th...roughout the afternoon. The tasting room will be closed this Friday through Sunday, April 2nd - April 4th, to allow us to get a little break before spring starts back up in earnest. Our apologies for any inconvenience. Back to regular hours on Monday, April 5th.

A few pairing choices for the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The richness, brightness, and slightly creamy texture of the 2019 Verdelho give it great versatility on the table (and also make it an excellent Chard substitute.) The buoyant, Grenache-driven 2017 GSP is a solid utility player as well, working well in the place of a lighter Pinot. Our 2017 Zinfandel shows the more nuanced, almost old-world side of the variety, and its lively acidity makes it an especially good part...ner for creams and sauces (case special price - $160.) The subtle midpalate of pomegranate and cranberry of the 2017 Tinto Cão serves as a nice underpinning for the more savory dishes, while the Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca of the NV Cosecheiro add a rich wash of fruit. The tasting room will be open daily through Wednesday the 25th but closed on Thanksgiving Day, so call, e-mail, or stop by to place an order.

A few case specials as we head into Thanksgiving: 2018 Rosé - $160, 2017 Malbec - $250 (1/2 for $135), 2016 Claret - $218 (1/2 for $117), and 2015 Cab Sauv - $160. (Prices before tax and shipping.) And, again, for any out-of-state shipments you’d like to have arrive before Thanksgiving, please get your orders in to us by tomorrow, November 15th.

Now on the shelves. Also, we’ve expanded our outdoor tastings to Fridays through Sundays. 12:00 - 5:00 pm, by reservation call (831) 372-8900. And if youre in the neighborhood, stop by, and we’ll fit you in if we can.

We’ve significantly expanded our shipping capabilities recently, and so, if your state accepts wine shipments the barbarians outside its borders, we can send something your way. Call or e-mail to confirm, and we’ll get your order out to you.

Tastings are back this week as we begin to offer to-go tasting flights. The portable version of our usual on-site tastings, each consists of five two-ounce bottles containing the five wines on the menu that week. Our inaugural lineup includes the new 2019 Verdelho, the new Tourbillon bottling, 2016 Tempranillo, 2017 Zinfandel, and 2017 Petit Verdot. Tastings are $15 / $7 for wine club, and with the purchase of a flight, we'll also provide a 10% / 20% for wine club discount on any bottles you'd like to take home.The menu is updated every week, so check the usual places.
