u guys.our very first PS10ideas winner is here. A series following a man time-traveling to the Cretaceous period with hopes of dying. Except he meets a talking T-Rex. As someone who doesn’t like to talk about their life/even share how I feel with friends, I often daydream of traveling 65 Million Years back in time to vent to someone there. This absurd scenario fueled this idea. Not based on me, but what if someone *could* actually do this. that was part of the pitch by Ma...tt Will Post for PS10ideas. since then, he and Matt Ley have spent the last month turning this idea into a beautiful three-part animated short, DAVE, and this is episode 1. we’ll be releasing the next two episodes right here in the next two days, so stay tuned. a massive congrats to the whole team, you blew us away <3 Director/Writer: Matt Post Director/Animator: Matt Ley Music/Score: OSC Concept Development: Rachel Auriemma Additional Animation: Jonny Eveson oh, and don't forget: entries are open now, so if you've got an idea of your own, apply at ps10ideas.com!

It's been...a year. At PICTURESTART, we were lucky enough to get to work from home and to keep investing in the creatives at the heart of everything we do. So, we wanted to fuel our gratitude (and yours) into something productivesomething impactful. That's why we partnered up with @ghettofilmschool, a non-profit that invests in the creatives who are going to power the next generation of Great American Storytelling. We made 4 cool pieces that are part of a Binge Bundlefleece-lined sweats, a cozy beanie, and soft tees filled with easter eggs to delight your film- and TV-loving heartand they’re on sale starting RIGHT NOW. All proceeds will be donated to Ghetto Film School, so you can cozy up for your next binge marathon feeling just a little bit better about #theyearthatsucked.

just now finding out about timothee and kid cudi's friendship and it is simply too pure. they'll be starring together in Adam McKay’s DONT LOOK UP, along with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, and *takes deep breath* Meryl Streep. what a cast, what a friendship, what a time to be alive.

Who originally lived on the land you’re standing on? This is the question that Larissa Fasthorse, a playwright and recent MacArthur Genius Grant winner wants you to ask yourself this Indigenous People’s Day. I think as a Native American Lakota playwright I have a unique view of the theater world that other playwrights don’t. From the beginning of my career, it’s been important to include Indigenous people and populations into my work. Creating works that not only tell... Indigenous stories and use indigenous ways of thinking, but they also provide greater access to them to have agency over they way they’re portrayed. You need to find that out. You need to know who those people are. And where are they? Are they still there? If not, why not? Where have they gone? she says. Whose land are you profiting from? And how can you start to pay that back in your own way? These are big questions. And also the very least we can do, when we think about righting the wrongs of hundreds of years of really messed up federal policy. To help you start answering these questions, head over to @nativegov for some resources on indigenous superheros, land acknowledgement, and what it means to rebuild our systems. See more
