As part of our continued support of the Black Lives Matter movement, and to better commemorate and celebrate Black history and culture, we are pleased to announce that from now on, Juneteenth will be one of Pick My Solar’s holidays. We hope to make it a tradition to spend this holiday learning about racism, discrimination, its negative impacts on our society, and how we can all come together to create a better future. #blacklivesmatter #juneteenth

Dear Pick My Solar community, There is no doubt that the world around us has been in a state of civil unrest resulting from unresolved disparities that affect our ethnic communities. We've always believed in equality and justice. This, of course, means that Black Lives Matter! Inclusivity, empowerment, and unity are among the core values integral to our company’s success. We know we need to advocate to see those values reflected in the world around us. In response to the tra...gic events of this past week, we have committed to match donations our employees make to the organizations advocating for advancing social and racial justice across the country. We stand proudly alongside those who wish to advocate publicly for a better future. It is times like these when people look to one another to provide and receive support. We encourage our employees, partners, and customers to do what feels right; mourn, join a protest, clean up your communities, or process things in your own way. It can also be hard figuring out how to speak to one another about our feelings resulting from the injustices and uncertainty we see in the world. There is no one right answer for this, but beginning with compassion for each other is a good place to start. Sincerely, Pick My Solar Team #blacklivesmatter

Who would have thought only a few months ago that the 50th anniversary of Earth Day would coincide with arguably the cleanest air quality and the lowest oil prices of the last 5 decades? Although these were unintentional outcomes of a pandemic, they have opened our eyes to so many possibilities. At least for a few weeks, we get to breathe clean air and see sunsets unencumbered by smog. Let’s pledge to make this a climate that we want our next generation to experience. Let’s make sure COVID-19 saves more lives than it took. Let’s make 2020 the turning point! (Photo credit: Getty, Location: India)
