Its been a crazy year. Full of ups and downs. It has also been a year full of growth for me. In some ways, my busiest. Helping people achieve optimal health, achieve athletic milestones and improve their physical way life have been some of the biggest joys of my life and ring very true for this year. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have provided support to me on this journey. Encouraged me when I first started. Believed in me when I had doubts. Stood by me through the losses this year has especially brought me. Thank you.

Excellence and results... come from consistently mastering the fundamentals. Progressions. Working on fundamental movements to achieve a greater goal. From knee pushups to regular push-ups . So many things in between to consider. I’ve seen push-ups done wrong more than I have done right. And when it comes to kids who are constantly going through changes and growth spurts , one day an exercise or movement is easy. The next day it it can be so challenging. Sam went through a gr...owth spurt a while back but has stuck to the fundamentals. The result? His push is coming along beautifully . That means better trunk stabilization. Stronger connective tissue. Joints that can handle the stress and of course a stronger chest. It’s the little things that allow exceptional people to excel at their sport. It’s the long term athletic development that starts when they are young. Building in the fundamentals. Running the drills and working on the little things ad nauseum. Not looking for short lived immediate results but looking at the long term goal and charting a path to success. 10k Time trial last weekend saw JScoots run a 15.05 first 5k and a 14.63 second 5k 29:41 being paced for an under 30 pace for the first 8 k. How do you train an elite athlete? Very carefully. The journey to doing simple kettlebell swings started long before Jack ran/runs at Georgetown. Trial and error. Careful planning . Stripping away all the ineffective junk and focusing on what has proven to be helpful and beneficial to his training and sport. You may see kettlebell swings being performed here , I see years of mutual focus having been fine tuned to focus on what we both know will benefit him as an athlete .
