Happy Thanksgiving (a day early) from us to you! Im gonna hit pause on social media tomorrow and soak up my family and a mellow day cooking too much food for three people. Honestly scrolling on holidays has always been hard; seeing these big family gatherings I’ve never really had. This year it feels even harder. And it’s gonna be a hard holiday season. 25 weeks with this little babe. Feeling so pregnant but also like I have a long time to go. Being pregnant with a toddler feels so different and I’m so thankful for the baby kicks that stop me and remind me to focus on this growing one. Obviously I think photography is special. This is one reason why. What a gift to capture the growing up years for so many families. 2020 > 2013 with the Wright kids. I can still remember their spunky little personalities and now they’re fun mini adults. Parents: forget the matching outfits and perfect locations. Back home and so grateful we were able to share a special place in the mountains with our little adventure man. It’s the first place we traveled to when he was six weeks old and it was so fun to see how much joy it brought him now. Today while packing up he said, Let’s stay at this cabin for 5 more nights. To celebrate Fall yesterday we made Pumpkin muffins together. I’m not really into styled things but the Fall vibes get me so I fancied them up for a photo. This kid is funnier and more animated by the day and I love hearing how his brain works and doing new things together. I’m so ready to soak up traditions with this little big guy. Snugging tiny babes is one of the best parts of newborn sessions but they are still pretty special from 6 feet away. The newborn phase is so quick and I’m so glad we could capture these moments before they are long gone. It was great for my soul to photograph this family again (and get out of the house). I’m loving the age he is more and more each month. The things he comes up with, the way he sees the world, his energy, his snuggles... he’s our favorite. Easter was different this year but the simplicity was refreshing. Having my husband home instead of working all day was a treat.
