Strong show of wood-fired ceramics at the Triton in San Jose right now. Ranging from functional to figurative and including some local luminaries, this is a great chance to view contemporary wood fired ceramics in your own back yard!
A great time was had by all who attended last weekends' "Experience Clay" event at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. Two very full days of workshops and demonstrations by a wide variety of local artists entertained a large and lively crowd. Many thanks to the museum and staff . Special kudos to Susana Arias and her army of volunteers, whose untold hours of preparation made this all possible. Not sure what it is about clay but it seems to attract the nicest people
