The safest way to celebrate the winter holidays is at home with the people who live with you. Travel and gatherings with family and friends who do not live with you can increase your chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu. #phfewic

Depression and anxiety are common during and after pregnancy. Mothering is a process, so do not be surprised if it seems strange or difficult at first. It is ok to have self-doubt. You can feel better. Reach out to your health care provider if you are experiencing any of these symptoms. If you don’t have a health care provider, WIC can help you find resources that can help. Contact [local agency contact information] for more information on WIC mental health screening and refe...rral services. Need help right now? Call 1-800-944-4773 or text 503-894-9453 Visit Postpartum Support International (postpartum.net) to find local support in your area. #CaliforniaWIC #WIC #PublicHealth #healthequity #healthequityCA #mentalhealthmatters #perinataldepression #prenataldepression #postpartumdepression

Californians can now opt-in to CA Notify to receive COVID-19 notifications informing them if they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus. With that information, they can make responsible decisions around quarantine and testing, which is essential for stopping the surge. If you opt-in and get a positive test result, you will receive a code via text message from the California Department of Public Health. Californians must opt-in to use it. The app ...is available through the Google Play Store on Android devices or through iOS settings on their Apple devices. No location data or personally identifiable information is ever collected, stored, or transmitted. The more people use the app, the more quickly we can stop the surge and save lives. Every day we can alert others of a possible exposure is a day that a possibly infectious person can begin quarantine and reduce the spread. For more information about CA Notify, visit www.canotify.ca.gov #COVID19 #canotify
