The Annual Phenix Rods Big Bluefin Special just returned from an epic trip! Charter Master Jeff recaps... With reports of big bluefin at the banks, the 12 of us rigged our heaviest tackle and prepped our Axis and Black Diamond Hybrid rods for battle. Arriving at the numbers, we were met with mile-long bluefin schools that couldn't resist our perfectly presented kite baits and Jigs. This was definitely a trip for the books said Captain Alex of the Apollo. As the sun set on our... 3rd and final day of the trip we were thrust without notice into the most intense flat fall bite we had ever witnessed. After a few action-packed hours, we plugged the Apollo's holds and started our victory cruise back to Seaforth landing.
