Fun day going down at the SRBX: Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange Trades Day!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PHCC GSA TRAINING GRADUATES OF 2019!!! We're very proud of each of you and we're excited to watch your plumbing career journey!! If it were not for our dedicated committee members, sponsoring contractors and affiliate members, the opportunity to train with the PHCC would not have been possible for these apprentices. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Donations made to the training facility by area manufacturers are greatly appreciated as are the in-class demonstrations, seminars and certifications.

Over 20 attendees - a mix of project managers, trade contractors, contract administrators, HR managers and others - visited the PHCC GSA Facility for the Prevailing Wage Law Seminar, presented by Carrie Bushman of Cook Brown on Friday, May 31st. The seminar was an informative, interactive and engaging session that went in-depth into the California prevailing wage laws as well as the skilled and trained workforce requirements on Public Works Projects. Attendees learned about ...prevailing wage law basics, new laws recently added, how to register as a Public Works contractor, how to claim credits, Apprenticeship requirements, compliance, Certified Payroll, penalties and so much more with question and answer breaks. We’d like to give a special thanks to all those who came and joined us for this important but fun and interesting session! We’re extremely grateful to Carrie Bushman at Cook Brown for her time, knowledge and passion to help the trade industry learn how to get involved and maneuver Public Work projects.
