Courtesy Post Orange County, CA Meet Lucas! Lucas is a 11 pound, 3 year old Chi Mix-boy who was found blind and abandoned hiding underneath a car. He was rescued with severe glaucoma and a genetic eye problem that required surgery to have his painful eyes removed. He is now in great health, up to date with all his vaccines, neutered, chipped, crate trained and just needs to find a permanent loving home. He is very sweet, good with children, dogs and any human willing to carry... him around. He is independent, gets around on his own quite well once he learns his way around the house and has a halo to help him navigate new places (that’s the equivalent of a seeing eye cane for dogs). Lucas loves being around people and following you around the house. He can be a little sleepy head in the morning and takes a while to get going but he is easily motivated by his food. He doesn’t like treats very much but is perfectly happy eating his kibble even as a snack. Lucas would probably be best suited in a home with older children, and a family with patience as he is still adjusting to being completely blind. If you've e...ver thought about fostering please consider helping us with one of these two. The shepherd mix is currently at the Riverside shelter. She was found as a stray, neglected and malnourished. She is good with kids and other dogs. We can't pull her out of the shelter without a place to put her. The Pitbull is Hazel.
