We work when it’s 115 degrees outside, we work when it’s -15 outside, we sweat, we freeze, we bleed, worry and shed tears. We miss birthdays, graduations, famil...y trips, and holidays. We deal with activist anti-AG groups, regulatory boards, media, politicians and even local mayors spreading fear and lies about us. We put up with it all because we love what we do. Some of you have been doing what you do for generations and are carrying on the family legacy. It pisses me off to no end when an agency like the State Water Resources Control Board goes through great lengths to completely dismiss scientific research, they hold meetings and pretend to listen to farmers at their dog and pony shows and completely ignore it all and push ahead with their agenda. Turlock and Modesto irrigation districts put a lot of time and money into fighting this and you people showed up to the meetings and voiced your concerns. These people are not elected, we can’t vote them out. We can vote for a new governor but in this state, we pretty much know how that’s gonna go. So what’s left? What’s the next coarse of action? We just take it? Watch people who shed blood sweat and tears growing food and fiber for the nation just be put out of business?
