Some say love comes into your life when you least expect it, and sometimes, that love is in the form of four paws and a set of whiskers. That's what happened to Pet Food Express Content Manager Angelene, when Mookie unexpectedly came into her life. "We didn't mean to get a cat. But then, back in early 2017, we kept hearing this little, persistent meow every time we were outside. We figured out that a little kitten had found his way into a closed-off space where trash cans we...re kept behind the corner store by our house. I tried coaxing him out with a can of tuna, but he was having none of it at least until I walked away. For the next week, I took him kitten food, and slowly we got to a point where he would actually eat while I was still next to him. One day, I scooped him up in a towel and brought him inside - he didn't seem to mind at all. I didn't mean to keep him, but then I named him (Little Mookie, after a lyric in a Skee-Lo song I couldn't stop listening to), and that was the end of the story. He wasn't going anywhere. Mookie's not so little anymore, and he definitely lives a more comfortable life than he used to, although he still likes to explore the great outdoors. He's our house mascot now - whether he's playing fetch with sparkle balls tossed down the stairs, trying to knock down every picture on the wall, or curling up for hours on the bed, we couldn't imagine the house without his Mookie brand of craziness." He knows hand signals for sit and down and recently learned that a gentle double touch on a side of his body means look at me. Bolt is really treats motivated and is eager to learn more basic obedience manners to guide him in good doggie manners. He is a super energetic and sweet boy who loves people and their attention. He gives sweet kisses on the first date and rolls onto his back for belly rubs. He did well with all dogs we introduced him to and loves his doggie play dates. Bolt definitely shows typical husky mischief and should be considered a bit of an escape artist. He would do well with someone who likes to run, jog or hike. He loves to run all around the yard, go for long walks, play in the water, play with toys and other dogs. In love?
