When families come to the realization their senior loved one can no longer live alone safely and independently, it can be stressful and frightening. The care may be part-time or full-time. Some will assume responsibility and care for their senior family member. Doing so can create quite a burden, no matter the love and sense of duty. However, this can have a debilitating affect on the son or daughter providing the care. This is especially true if the son or daughter has a fam...ily with children, a full-time job and other usual responsibilities. Outside care is a typical option. This is Hans, the other half of PCH Finders. I just wanted to share a personal story I'm sure many who have senior parents or grandparents experience. My Pops, Bill, turns 83 this September. He's had quite a life. He gave a wink and a nod about his age when he was a teenager, so he could join the army before he was old enough to do it. Pops was always a strong figure.
