Pat Has Dropped 12 More Pounds! Pat had already lost 15 pounds prior to coming to The Perfect Workout last November, and within six weeks she lost another 12 pounds. More than the proof of the scale was how her clothes fit. "My jeans are falling off me now." Pat Marino remembers it well. "We were at Lake Tahoe, and I was flabby. It was embarrassing," she says. "I wanted to get my body back." Specifically, she wanted to shed a lot of weight, get rid of her "bat-wing" arms..., and look good for an upcoming wedding. In her mid-60's, Pat wanted to look young again. She told her trainer, "I need killer arms and killer legs!" Three aspects of The Perfect Workout really appealed to Pat. It was quiet, not a "meat factory" with rows of equipment and lines of people and It was efficient. These were important because she runs her own consulting business and doesn't have a lot of time. And it offered proven results. Slow motion strength training was new to Pat, even though she had worked out with two personal trainers at gyms in the past. Pat and her trainer at the Piedmont studio, Sean, went to work right away. She had already lost 15 pounds prior to coming to The Perfect Workout last November, and within six weeks she lost another 12 pounds. More than the proof of the scale was how her clothes fit. "My jeans are falling off me now. A number of people have commented on how thin I'm getting." And a friend noticed her arms, saying, "You're getting guns!" Pat's double chin went away, and everything got toned - her back, thighs, hips, and core. "I got more out of this in six weeks than anything else going to gyms." Sean gets credit for helping Pat get such fast results. He focuses on form and positioning versus doing a lot of reps, with much more attention to detail. "Sean is very thoughtful about his approach and analyzes what I'm doing." The hard work is paying off outside the studio, too. For fun, Pat enjoys hiking up in the hills. There's one spot where she always had to stop and rest, but she can take it now. She's no longer huffing and puffing and can handle the inclines better, a side benefit she wasn't expecting. This summer she'll attempt a bike ride she and her late husband used to do together. "There was one hill I always had to walk up. I'll put myself to the test this year." Pat isn't slowing down in any way. "I still want to be active," she says. "The more you keep your body moving, the better off for the long-term. I feel like this is an investment in my health, and why not do it? I wish I would have done this 20 years ago!"
