This, such a sweet read! Dear middle class horse show family, I see you. I see you picking and choosing what shows you can afford.... I see you buy your child that older, been there done that mid level horse. I see you on the rail at every lesson, soaking up all the information that you can. I see you scouring the internet for second hand clothing for your child. I see you at shows, cleaning your own tack and grooming horses to save money. I see you happily entering your child and horse in classes against high dollar made horses and cheering everyone on equally. I see you hug your children when they come out of the ring win, lose or draw. I see all of you sitting at the stalls, having a great time with your adopted horse show families. I see you wishing you were rich so you could buy one of those high dollar horses for your child, but understanding that your child is learning valuable lessons on that older been there, done that horse. I see you. Happy Tuesday gang. Welcome to the 2019 SAHJA Show Season for our barn. The first show is Feb 9th and 10th. Horses leave Fri the 8th. The show is at Leone's. Remember Leone's offers a "Series in a Series". Please sign up and have deposits to Kim or Trudy By Wed Feb 6th. Looking forward to leaving the farm and hitting the road this show season. As always communicate with me on budgets so we can maximize your year AND experiences. March's show for planning purposes is March 16th and 17th, horses leave Fri March 15th and is at Leone's. This is the second show of THAT series. April's show #3 of series at Leones is April 27th & 28th. Horses leave Fri 4/26. Please go online and join/renew your SAHJA membership so you can compete for year-end awards in your divisions.

Summer camp session 3 kicked off with a bang. The girls learned about grooming, horse care, took their riding lesson and managed drawing their own versions of the "main" parts of the horses body!! Till Wednesday!!

Hey gang..two updates..the Carol W. Clinic is now tenitively scheduled for the 3rd weekend in August. Also the next SAHJA show is NEXT weekend 7/21 AND/OR 7/22 at Starr Vaugn. Please confirm attendance for both ASAP.

Its OFFICIAL..Perrien Farms will be offering a half day Summer camp 3 days a week beginning Monday 6/25. 8am to 12pm 6/25, 6/27, 6/29 $250 per child for the 3 days. Hey gang. Disappointed to inform you the Starr Vaughn show next weekend had been cancelled by Horse Show Management. The only other SAHJA show we can attend for the month of June is SPLASH, at Brookside 6/21-6/24. That is also the week of horses for me at the fair for Alexis and FFA so speak up quickly if you would like to haul up once or twice and show so I can coordinate it promptly. Otherwise there is a fun show at Merced Horsemans Assoc. Sat. Affordable classes and a new venue. Great show to get some miles under your belt. Let Trudy know right away via text or on here.
