The San Francisco Chronicle reports that six San Francisco Bay Area counties are about to declare a "shelter in place" order, asking residents not to leave their homes and stay away from others as much as possible for the next three weeks. The directive is set to begin at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday and will include San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda counties - a combined population of more than 6.7 million.
