This photo backdrop we created will forever live on as a favorite! How can it not, right?! I am loving all of the weddings we are designing for right now and I’m actually enjoying it vs. just going through the motions due to a lack of time or even budget. This year is all about being more intentional with my time and working on things that bring joy and fit our design studio. BALANCE is a necessity (although I’m currently HORRIBLE at it), and I’m working on it. ... Having balance doesn’t mean to not work extremely hard - this is absolutely necessary to have a thriving company. I’m a firm believer that what you get out of something is a direct result of what you’ve put into it, whether it’s business, a hobby, or even a relationship (although some people just suck and it’s no reflection of you ). Hey friends, Jackie here. I suck and didn’t tell you Happy Thanksgiving (sorryyyys)! That’s because for us (and I’m just being totally real here) it was kinda sucky, as I’m sure it may have been for some of you in comparison to your years past. How do kids know to get sick RIGHT before you have plans the next day - like a major holiday? It never fails.... Anyway, I’m still happy we got to celebrate as a family of 4, and @chris_d_miller and I pulled Thanksgiving dinner out of our a$$es somehow (and it tasted goooood!) I had the pleasure of doing wedding flowers for an old friend for her wedding. I’ve known Danielle since we worked in a Landscape Architecture office together about 8 years ago. She helped decorate my desk when I was pregnant with Penelope, we made fun of my pregnant feet together, and we constantly made gross jokes in the office. We won’t start on the office holiday parties . I love that old friends and new come to us to flower their wedding days. It’s such a cool thing to... be able to do. I’ve become so used to the wedding flower process that I just sometimes have to remind myself what a big part of someone’s life it really is. So cool. . Congratulations Danielle & John! . We had such a blast helping create this Parisian themed 10th birthday party for Taylor!
