Happy Friday! As we wrap up Adult Day Services Week, some of our participants wanted to show you what they've been up to. Art has always been a big part of life at the Peg Taylor Center, and that's continued in our Center Without Walls. Tote bag and wood plank painting, creature creations, framed puzzles and more have been livening up life at home and helping participants with their PT and OT journeys!

Happy Adult Day Services Week! We've talked about our "Center Without Walls" before, and we wanted to explain a little bit about what that means. Since March, we've had to find creative new ways to provide the health care, therapies, support and connection that have always been the heart of what we do. Working together with you, our participants and families, we've been able to make it happen! Doorstep and tele-health consultations, deliveries of activities, medical supplies... and meals, and occupational therapy provided over FaceTime are just a few of the many ways we've worked to meet your needs over the past six months. We've been so happy to see your smiling faces, even when it's at a distance or on video. We'll keep working hard on new ways to serve you as our Center Without Walls continues! Today marks the beginning of National Adult Day Services Week! Since mid-March, we've been operating as a Center without walls, helping participants to stay safe, healthy and connected in brand new ways. We'll be celebrating this week by telling you more about what we've been up to! First off, we know that recently, wildfires and air quality have been on everyone's mind. We've worked hard this summer to make sure that all of our families in potential evacuation zones were sa...fe and ready to go. We've also been dropping off disaster preparedness packets, including N95 masks, first-aid kits, lanterns, important safety information, and more! A big thanks to Ute, seen here, and the whole team for their work on these! We're very hopeful that fire season will end soon, but in the meantime, we're here to help.

Live in Oroville? This local heating and cooling company is currently exchanging air filters for free. You can go to 1650 Feather River Boulevard, between 9am and 5pm!

You may have seen the Peg Taylor Center in the news this morning because of an incident last night - thankfully all is safe, and the incident was resolved without harm to anyone.

Our fantastic participants need #Carenotcuts! Governor Newsom has the power to do what's right: passing a budget that does not cut and eliminate the programs that older Californians need to stay safe and healthy. If you're able to, please call his office at (916) 445-2841 and ask him not to cut funding for CBAS Adult Day Health Care today. This year's state budget will have huge impacts on the lives of Californians.
