One of our corgi owners has to rehome her 4 year old neutered male corgi. She is elderly and has recently taken a fall. She is also dealing with her husband's i...llness. They live in SF in a unit with stairs and can no longer handle Dash up and down the stairs. This is what she says about Dash: Dear Peggy, Thank you for helping place Dash. It is time for me to find a new home for him. Things with Stephen and now with my fall has made me feel that I need to do this. Dashiell is four years old and beautiful. We never walk more than a half a block without people commenting on how lovely he looks.He is healthy and hearty. I have found a good mix of kibble, wet food and rice which keeps his stomach good, and he has had very little in the way of stomach distress or any other illnesses. He loves to play with other dogs especially big ones. He is nice to puppies and to kids and people. He is a guard dog, but as soon as folks are in the house will stop barking. The one thing he does is still guards with food and will do anything to get a treat (barks in stores where he knows they will give him one) and will fight for the tiniest treat on the ground with other dogs. He used to be quite nervous as a puppy and is still very interested in things being the same...it takes him a while when things change socially, new dogs at the house, or people but he is far more comfortable than he used to be. He has gone to friends houses to stay when I have gone away very successfully, he does not have separation anxiety, and he loves his crate and special chair. He especially loves guys!
