Peer Counseling Collective 14.11.2020

Due to the community spread of COVID-19, our in person services have been suspended. We are now offering Peer Counseling Services via phone M-F 6:30-9pm (last intake at 8:30pm) and Sat 12-2:30pm. Please call (510) 548-2570 to be transferred to a peer counselor. Services are provided by lay volunteers trained in active listening. We are here to listen and give our clients the space to explore whatever it is they would like to talk about. We do not give advice, provide treatment, or make diagnoses. We cannot write or fill prescriptions.

The Berkeley Free Clinic provides free, confidential peer counseling for individuals 18+. Services are provided by lay volunteers trained in active listening. We give our clients the space to explore whatever it is they would like to talk about. We do not give advice, provide treatment, or make diagnoses. We cannot write or fill prescriptions. We do offer referrals to other low-cost Bay Area mental health resources.... Hours Monday - Friday: Drop-in hours are from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and are open to everyone 18+. Saturday: Drop-in hours are from 12 noon - 2:30pm (we stop taking appointments after 2pm), women and trans-inclusive clients only. Sessions run approximately 60 minutes.

http://www.berkeleyfreeclinic.org/donate-online Dear family and friends, I volunteer at the Berkeley Free Clinic to pass on the help others have given me so generously. The work we do is important to me and my community. My colleagues and I provide a breadth of services to the underserved. This includes STI screens, dental care, acute medical care, peer counseling, and insurance enrollment counseling. In 2019, we celebrated 50 years of service, and we are ...driven continue to delivering on our mission of Healthcare for People, Not Profit. Will you help me support the clinic’s mission? A generous gift of any size provides vital services in the new year. A $7 donation provides an STI treatment, $50 provides a pap smear, and $100 enables four TB tests. By giving this week, you’ll join me in serving over 10,000 Bay Area residents. To give, you may visit http://www.berkeleyfreeclinic.org/donate-online. Thank you so much for supporting me and the work I do at the Berkeley Free Clinic. Gratefully, Jim Kirkpatrick PCC Member
