Meet Dr. Hazel Soliman We are excited to announce that Dr. Hazel Soliman will be joining Pediatric Dentistry of Tracy on Thursdays. Dr. Hazel has worked with Dr. Solomon in the Livermore location for over a decade. Known simply to our patients as Dr. Hazel, Dr. Soliman’s passion is to provide a pleasant dental experience for our young patients while maintaining excellence in dental care. She feels that pediatric dentistry is not only about providing positive experiences f...or children, but also allowing parents to ask questions and be well informed about oral health and their child’s development. Dr. Soliman feels very fortunate that she is able to work in a profession where she can provide a positive influence in children’s lives, and also enjoy it at the same time. A native of Reno, Dr. Soliman obtained her degree in biological sciences at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco and completed pediatric dentistry specialty residency at the University of Southern California. Dr. Soliman is also a board-certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Soliman is married with two young children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Giving back to the community is something Dr. Soliman is passionate about. She volunteers for dental screenings at local elementary schools, as well as donates her services to those who are less fortunate and can’t afford quality dental care. We can’t wait for all of you to meet her. We think you will be as excited to have her as we are! What is SDF treatment? Silver diamine fluoride is a non-invasive option for treating cavities. Used on our younger patients until they are old enough to safely complete treatment. We use a topical medicine that is painted on the tooth instead of a more invasive surgical (drill and fill) approach.

Dear Patients and Parents, We hope you all are staying safe and well - these are unprecedented and uncertain times for everyonewe miss seeing you and our patients. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we prepare to fully return to the office soon. As all of us have learned to live with the new normal, there will be changes in the office, both physical and in our protocols upon our return. Our guiding principal for the team has been simply our office will rem...ain a place where we would feel safe bringing our children. We hope to resume our new normal hours on June 2nd. With this, however, we will be seeing a reduced number of patients to enable adequate social distancing. During the past 8 weeks, many of you have been affected with treatments and routine visits being cancelled. We will be reaching out to you in the order in which you were originally scheduled. Please refrain from calling our office to schedule, as incoming calls will be directed to our email or emergency service. Our team is still working remotely. We do sincerely ask for your patience and understanding with appointments. We have been continually following the patient safety updates from California Department of Public Heath, the San Joaquín Department of public health, CDC and our many dental associations. They have created an extensive office procedure and team training manual which was shared with many other offices in the dental community. Again, our administrative staff will reach out to you to reschedule cancelled appointments. If your child already had an appointment from June 2nd on you will also be called as your appointment time will likely change due to the temporary schedule changes we are following at first for social distancing and new infection control protocols.
