Wow this year started out on a great note. But on the 16th of Jan. I went into the hospital for a procedure, a little one, go into the heart clean up the right atrium and four hours later I was on my way home. Well it did not turn out the way I wanted. 30 hours later at 2am I got chest pains and shortness of breath for the first time ever. Then it was off to the ER, even on a Friday night it was empty. Great service and before I knew it I had a room in ICU. I was in ICU for 5... days. I am home now waiting to see the doctor on 2/7/20. The drugs are pretty strong and the main side effect of one of them is blindness. And also senitivty to light indoor and outdoor. So it is with heavy heart to anounce that PEDAL OR DIE will not be attending the 24 Hours in the old Pueblo this year. So about that little procedure, they have to go back in to clean up the left ventrical after I get stronger. See more

This is my rear brake system. A Shimano XTR m9020 Trail Hydraulic Brake. With a Shimano RT99 160mm Center lock Rotor. On a Shimano XT m8000 11speed quick release rear hub. I proudly refer to them as my "save the old man's life brakes". After 35 miles of fun, here we are in El Capitan State Park over looking the Pacific Ocean. Feeling better than I have in a long time.

Great Day at camp. My REI FLASH SLEEPING PAD has sprung a leak. So I am going to sleep on the ground tonight. Try to fix it tomorrow. Not very optimistic on my chances of fixing it. Big suck REI. 8 nights that's all I got out of this pad.
