Meet our team: Ishani Modi 1. How long have you been with Peaxy? I've been with Peaxy for about 2-1/2 years. I started working as an intern and joined full-time offer after that.... 2. Can you describe some of the things you’re working on? I build the backend micro-services and the business logic for our Peaxy Lifecycle Intelligence for batteries customers. I also work with the design team to implement the front-end interfaces. I recently built a service that automated a component of the battery manufacturing process, which helped the customer increase their efficiency and quality. 3. What was one of the biggest challenges you faced after joining? With both the evolving needs of customers and the latest tech stack, I needed continuous learning to upgrade my knowledge. 4. How did you overcome that challenge? I spend at least an hour a day learning new concepts that help my own growth and also Peaxy. 5. Any advice you would offer someone starting in software development? Practice data structures and algorithms. Think of different ways to optimize those algorithms. Keep learning! In her spare time, Ishani enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and playing board games.

We continue to see major investments in developing battery manufacturing capabilities across industries, with Ford most recently announcing that it will open a $185 million R&D battery lab to develop and manufacture battery cells and batteries, a first step toward the automaker possibly making battery cells in-house. Solid state batteries, while not new, are becoming more of a reality for electric vehicles thanks in part to investments by automakers such as Toyota and Volkswagon.
