Things to Peak Your Interest: Three feet safe passing laws What’s a three feet safe passing law? Most states in the U.S. have them (only 11 states are without). The most common crash that kills a person bicycling is when a person driving hits them from behind. A state law that requires a defined passing distance makes it clear that the person driving is responsible for preventing this crash type. Thanks League of American Bicyclists for the data & graphic! ... Earth. People. Bikes. Happiness. See more

Things to Peak Your Interest: Solar e-bike stations! A recent partnership in Colorado between We-Cycle & Skyhook Solar has launched two off-the-grid, solar-powered charging stations for electric bicycles. Around the country, e-bikes are incredibly popular in the bike share industry, used for about five times as many rides as classic pedal bikes. Daniel Delano, president and CEO of Skyhook Solar , says that the goal from day one was to design and engineer a solar station... that was attractive, something that would be welcome on both city streets or a trailhead in the backcountry. The resulting stations, located at Aspen Valley Hospital and a Bus Rapid Transit stop in Basalt, are elegant in their simplicity, with a nine foot canopy that obscures the solar panels and ensures that storefronts or mountain views remain unobstructed. Thanks We-Cycle & Skyhook Solar for the innovative work! Earth. People. Bikes. Happiness.
Why watch movies this winter when you can do this? We give this guy two hooves up!
Thanks to Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition for posting this link. Here in our neck of the woods, our friends at Bike SLO County are providing some very valuable and well-received bike education. Thanks to all whose efforts bring savvy, informed cyclists to our roads.
Was this ever in question?
No Peak Racks needed when these kids bike to school. What a great way to start and end the school day. https://www.facebook.com/brutnature/videos/720150735029890/
Dear cars, This is from San Luis Obispo (just like Peak Racks!), with love from your two-wheeled, road-sharin' friends. Looking forward to seeing your cool new bling. Ding-ding,... Bikes See more
Start your weekend with some really good feels. Totally worth the time to watch this story about people, compassion, and community. And it all starts with a stolen bike. (Must have a little dust in my eye. Sniffle.)
We don't get much scarf weather here at Peak Racks headquarters, but maybe this idea will come in handy where you live.
A bike playground? We're giving this idea a big thumbs up!
Things like this get us a little sniffly. Keep up the good work, friends!
Congratulations to Cal Poly for being named a Bicycle Friendly University! We have a special place in our hearts for Cal Poly. It is the birthplace of Peak Racks, and the university has been a loyal and valued customer for many years. We are proud that our products have made it easier for Cal Poly students to park their bikes, and allow the university to accommodate so many bikes in so little space. Keep riding, Mustangs! <3
This would be a great way to go back to school! Hope everyone has a fantastic school year. Enjoy the ride!
We're so glad our kids learned to be confident, proud, street-smart riders. And it all starts with a great first experience. Kudos to Julie Churchman for her work with kids in her area!
Did somebody say "Bike Month"? WooHoo!
