COVID-19 is making summer fun a little harder this year, but some of our Individuals are finding ways to have summer fun right in their own backyards! We love this project of a miniature bowling alley built by one of our Individuals and their Personal Attendant!

We are sharing this important message provided by the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD). The fourth COVID-19 relief bill is being negotiated in Congress right now. Please call your Senators today. The Senate COVID-19 relief bill (Health, Economic Assistance, Liability Protection, and Schools (HEALS) Act) does not include emergency funding for people with disabilities who use Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). If you use In-Home Supportive Services or R...egional Center services then this could impact you. HCBS funds will help to keep people safe in their homes during COVID-19. We only have a few days to educate Congress about the importance of HCBS funding to people with disabilities. If you live in California, please CALL Senator Harris and Senator Feinstein today. Then, call three friends in other states and ask them to call their Senators. Follow these steps: 1. Call the congressional switchboard at (202)-224-3121. Ask for your senator by name, or simply ask Can you please connect me to the office for the senator from [STATE]? and they will let you know the names of the two senators and you can choose to be transferred to the office for one of the senators. 2. Here is a script that you can use. "Hi, my name is [Name]. I live in [state]. Funding for home and community-based services are important to me to be sure I stay safe and in my home during the pandemic. [Optional: You can add your personal experience or other facts you think are helpful here.]. Thank you.
